Sequel to the just concluded elections in Ekiti and the forthcoming general elections in 2019, it has become pertinent to bring forth robust discussions on the inclusion of persons with disability in electoral and political processes. Thisone-day training workshop on Disability Inclusion for key actors in the electoral and political process will build capacity of the identified stakeholders on mainstreaming of PWDs into the political and electoral processes in Nigeriaand provide technical advice to all key actors (INEC, SIEC, Political Parties, Legislators, Judiciary etc.) on how to mainstream disability into their specific programs. In Nigeria, not only do persons with disability face discrimination in the society, various hindrances also affect their ability to participate effectively in political and electoral processes on an equal basis with others.
